STORM WATER PROGRAM Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s)

The Town is part of MAGIC (sub regional planning organization under MAPC) applied to the State’s Compact Communities was awarded a $50,000 grant to provide technical assistance to explore a regional effort for complying with the NPDES Storm Water Program.

The 2016 Massachusetts Small MS4 General Permit was signed April 4, 2016 and will become effective July 1, 2017. The final permit replaces the 2003 small MS4 general permit for MS4 operators within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
