Land Use Permitting

The Land Use Permitting Guide is intended to provide residents and land developers with a guide through Lincoln's land use permitting process. This guide is intended to provide an overview of and explanation of the typical process and time line for land use permitting. Lincoln's zoning and land use regulations often require applicants to seek approvals from multiple boards and commissions in order to get a project permitted. If a project appears to need permits from multiple boards and commissions, an applicant should consult with the Planning Department for the best order of scheduling. The Planning Department will also advise an applicant on general or preliminary permitting questions.
