[ARCHIVED] Campus Master Planning Deadline Extended

The Campus Master Planning Committee (CMPC) last week requested a one-month extension of their original deadline of December 31, 2015, of the Lincoln Board of Selectmen and the Lincoln School Committee in order to finalize their report. The request was approved by the Lincoln School Committee and the Board of Selectmen on Thursday, December 17th and Monday, December 21st, respectively, and the CMPC will now have until the end of January 2016 to finalize and submit their report.

“It became apparent last week as we were working with LLB Architects, the project consultant, that we were rushing to the deadline because of the upcoming holidays,” said CMPC Chair Carole Kasper. “Instead of submitting a report that didn’t reflect the committee’s best effort, we requested the extension, and are grateful to the Board of Selectmen and the School Committee for their flexibility and understanding so that we may fully vet the report.”

The CMPC, which was convened jointly by the Town’s Board of Selectman and School Committee, is charged with studying the basic infrastructure and physical layout of the Ballfield Road campus and informing the planning for the contemplated school building and community center projects. The final report will detail the CMPC’s findings, which were initially presented at the November 14th State of the Town Meeting.

For more information, residents are encouraged to visit the CMPC web page, located at http://www.lincolntown.org/index.aspx?NID=682. Upcoming meetings will also be posted as soon as the schedule is available.
