RADON AWARENESS PRESENTATION WITH MA DPH

THURSDAY, JANUARY 26, 6:30 - 8:00 PM

January is National Radon Action Month. Join the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Indoor Air Quality Division for a public presentation on radon health risks, testing, and mitigation. This presentation will address residents’ health regarding exposure to radon that may accumulate in their homes and provide radon health and exposure reduction information to interested residents.

About the Speaker

Michael A. Feeney, B.Pharm., R.Ph., J.D., C.H.O. - Mr. Feeney is the Director of the Indoor Air Quality Program at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH). Mr. Feeney has conducted over 1800 indoor air quality investigations in buildings including schools, office buildings, libraries, courthouses, town halls, firehouses, police stations and homes throughout Massachusetts and also responds to chemical spills and building evacuations. Mr. Feeney is a graduate from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Juris Doctor from New England School of Law. He is an author of journal articles concerning biological/chemical weapons and indoor air quality. Mr. Feeney is a Commissioner of the Merrimack River Valley Flood Control Commission. Mr. Feeney is also a member of the Nuclear Incident Response Team and is the Chairperson of the MDPH Taskforce on Indoor Air Quality.
