On September 3, 2025, The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) announced the secon human case of West Nile virus (WNV) in Massachusetts this year.

All communities in the Great Meadows Public Health Collaborative Region remain at "high" and "moderate" WNV risk level.

Take precautions when outdoors:  Use insect repellent and avoid outdoor activities at dusk and dawn.
