Obtaining a Death CertificateThe Town Clerk's Office is responsible for recording all deaths that occur in the Town of Lincoln.Death certificates are public records. Certified death records may be obtained in person or by mail. |
The fee to obtain a death certificate is $10.00; payment forms accepted are cash, credit cards or checks payable to the Town of Lincoln.
We are pleased to provide one free death certificate for Veterans please contact our office to arrange.
To pick up certificates in person, please order your certificates by phone and they will be prepared in advance of your arrival. Walk-in requests are also accepted.
To receive certificates by mail, please send a request stating the name and date of death, include a check or money order, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
