Death Certificates
Obtaining a Death Certificate
The Town Clerk's Office is responsible for recording all deaths that occurr in the Town of Lincoln.

Death certificates are public records. Certified death records may be obtained in person or by mail.

The fee to obtain a death certificate is $5.00;
checks payable to the Town of Lincoln.

In Person
To pick up certificates in person, please order your certificates by phone and they will be prepared in adva
nce of your arrival. Walk-in requests are also accepted; you will need to wait while the certificates are prepared. 

By Mail

To receive certificates by mail, please send a request stating the name and date of death, include a check or money order, and a self-addressed,  stamped envelope.
