Join Lincolnite Jean Risley in a free course of practical strategies to uncover your own values, plan retirement’s stages, identify goals, create helpful habits, balance your days and weeks, celebrate accomplishments, and build in flexibility. It will be held on nine Wednesdays at 10 at Bemis Hall starting with an overview on September 11. Jean is a retired “techie,” businessperson, and minister sharing her experiences for making retirement purposeful and grounded in our own choices.     Bingo is making a comeback with the younger set and now you can enjoy it, too! Join Tricia McGean on Wednesday, September 11 at 1 pm at Bemis for a game of Bingo! There is no fee and no cash prizes, but everyone is encouraged to bring in some small item that you might put out at a yard sale or Yankee Swap and all the winners will get to choose one to take home!

    If you are interested in perfecting your writing technique whether for your own personal enjoyment or as part of a writing project our group might be just the right place for you. Authors (and aspiring authors) of all literary styles are welcome! The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings of each month at the library. Share your work and gain insight into improving your work through thoughtful and considerate criticism. Members are encouraged to share their work on a rotating basis (every 6-8 weeks). When not reading from your own work you will be helping others with their writing, this is a wonderful supportive way to improve your writing.
