March 31, 2019, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Lincoln Public Library
In the 1920’s, the sound of radios and phonographs filled the air. Motion pictures offered new vistas for millions of moviegoers. Prosperity was everywhere. Americans began their love affair with the automobile. Women “bobbed” their hair, danced the Charleston and voted for the first time. “Keep Cool with Coolidge” was the slogan of the times. Dr. Hylander returns to Lincoln having led a series on FDR's America last spring. He is a visiting professor at Framingham State University and Boston University School of Education. A frequent lecturer at library forums, historical societies and professional organizations.
