Your Health Care Proxy is one of the most important advance planning documents you have. It designates a person of your choice to make medical decisions and ensure that your wishes are followed if you are temporarily or permanently incapacitated. Come to a “Proxy Party” on Friday, September 21, at 1 pm at Bemis Hall when Lincoln resident and elder law attorney Sasha Golden and Tricia McGean, RN, Lincoln’s Public Health Nurse, will discuss the importance of health care proxies and what happens if you do not have an updated proxy in your records, help you complete your form on the spot, and discuss how to begin conversations with your proxy holder and family about your wishes for medical treatment. Please sign up by calling the COA at (781) 259-8811!
