Snow Date: Understanding and Coping with Hearing Loss with Carol Agate

Saturday, March 28, 2020

Snow Date Understanding and Coping with Hearing Loss - Speaker Carol Agate It’s surprising that few people really understand what hearing loss is, including people with hearing loss. HLAA member Carol Agate will be presenting the talk she has given to various senior groups, geared toward people with hearing loss, people who think they might have hearing loss, people whose friends tell them to get their hearing checked, or people who simply want to know what hearing loss is. Carol was a founding member of the Santa Monica, California, chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America. Now she belongs to the Boston chapters of HLAA and ALDA. Her favorite project in retirement is bringing hearing loss out of the closet to make the public more aware of the need for accommodations. We will also be introducing our new Hearing Loop System!!!
