Village Planning and Zoning

In 1998 the Planning Board began to study Lincoln Station in order to develop a more viable village center. Studies continued over the next 20 plus years. The SLPIC Village Planning and Zoning Team was appointed by the Planning Board and is working with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) on zoning with design guidelines to create an equitable transit oriented development (ETOD) that will allow for housing options and create a vibrant and active, walkable and sustainable village center.

The proposed zoning amendment reflects all the hard work done over the past 20+ years. SLPIC has held a number of meetings to solicit feedback on the proposed zoning and guidelines and will bring the proposed zoning to the March 28, 2020 ATM for approval.
